TOOLS REQUIRED
Screw Driver or Interior Pry Tools
Masking Tape
Drill Bits (Step Drill Bit Recommended)
Grease
Tug Tool or 20mm Socket & 25mm Wrench
5/8 Wrench
1 \ REMOVE YOUR TOW EYE CAP COVER
Locate and remove your tow eye cap cover, we recommend using a plastic interior tool to remove the cover without scratching your paint.
2 \ CLEAN BUMPER THREADS
Clean the threads in the bumper beam. A blast of air or wire brush will suffice for newer cars,
on older cars air and a brush isn't enough to remove years of road grime. Brake clean with a
brush on a power drill is recommended. The key is to remove any debris from the threads.
3 \ APPLY GREASE
Apply grease to the threads of the tug shaft threads that screw into the bumper beam.
Insert and thread the tug shaft into the bumper beam.
4 \ TIGHTEN DOWN THE SHAFT
Use either a 20mm socket or our Tug Tool to tighten the shaft into the bumper beam.
The shaft only needs to be snug (5 -10 ft-lbs), do not over tighten the shaft.
5 \ TRIM TOW EYE CAP COVER (OPTIONAL)
Follow the steps in the lower area about how to trim your tow eye cap cover.
6 \ REINSTALL TOW EYE CAP COVER
If you trimmed your tow eye cap cover you can reinstall over the shaft now.
7 \ INSTALL TUGLESS VIEW MOUNT
Take your tugless view with shaft nut threaded all the way towards the gopro mount end and thread into your installed tug shaft.
8 \ LEVEL TUGLESS VIEW MOUNT
Once your mount is threaded all the way into your tug shaft you can back out the mount until level.
9 \ TIGHTEN SHAFT NUT
Once you have that threaded until the shaft nut is nut against your
tug shaft you can take your tug tool or 25mm wrench and tighten the shaft nut to the tug shaft.
10 \ INSTALL GOPRO
Once you have the mount installed and tightened down you can install your GoPro onto the mount.
TOW EYE CAP COVER TRIMMING
1 \ MASKING TAPE TEMPLATE
Using masking tape with your tug shaft installed you want to place a piece on each side
of the shaft to create a box around the tug shaft. Extend the pieces of masking tape so that
is stuck to a part of the bumper.
2 \ REMOVE MASKING TAPE TEMPLATE
Once you have your masking tape template you can unstick on 3 of the sides and fold them up and out of the way
(make sure tape is still stuck on some part of the bumper for the next steps).
3 \ REMOVE TUG SHAFT
You can now uninstall your tug shaft.
4 \ REINSTALL TOW EYE CAP COVER
Now you reinstall your tow eye cap cover and overlay your masking tape template.
The template will show the exact location of where the tow eye cap needs to be trimmed
for the tug shaft to poke through.
5 \ DRILL TOW EYE CAP COVER
Once your template is on the tow eye cap cover you can uninstall the tow eye cap cover and
drill hole using a step drill bit to the desired size.
6 \ REINSTALL TUG SHAFT
Now you can reinstall your tow eye cap cover and continue with step 6 in upper section.
