TOOLS REQUIRED

1" Wrench or Adjustable Wrench
1/8" Allen Wrench
Side Cutter Snips
Blue Loctite

1 \ REMOVE YOUR SHIFT KNOB

Remove your shift knob. Refer to google to find vehicle-specific removal instructions.

2 \ REMOVE YOUR SHIFT BOOT

Remove the shift boot from the center console. Refer to google to find vehicle-specific removal instructions.

3 \ REMOVE OEM SHIFT BOOT RETAINER

Once you have the shift boot removed fold the inside out and you will see a plastic

shift boot retainer. This needs to be removed for proper installation of our adapter and shift knob.

4 \ SHIFT BOOT PARTIAL INSTALL

Once you have the OEM shift boot retainer removed place the shift boot back onto your

shifter arm but do not fully install back into the console.

5 \ REMOVE SET SCREWS

Remove the small set screws from the adapter and set them aside we will need them later.

6 \ INSTALL THE ADAPTER

Slide the adapter onto the shifter arm with the threaded portion of the adapter facing up.

Make sure the adapter is as far down as possible, the best way to tell is if the top of the shifter arm is

touching the top of the adapter.

7 \ APPLY BLUE LOCTITE

Place a small dab of blue Loctite on the set screws you removed previously.

8 \ INSTALL SET SCREWS

Unscrew the jam nut until it's at the top of the adapter threads and use a 1/8in allen

wrench to tighten the set screws starting at the top, make sure to not over

tighten to not cause the metal to deform and not allow proper shift knob installation.

9 \ DOUBLE CHECK

Check to make sure the set screws are not overtightened by spinning the jam nut.

If the jam nut does not spin, back out the screws a very small amount. The jam nut

can have a small amount of resistance but not too much to the point where it does not spin.

10 \ ALIGN THE ENGRAVING

If you have a shift knob with engraving make sure the jam nut is screwed all the way down

to the bottom of the adapter. Install the shift knob as far down as possible, once fully installed back

off the shift knob until the engraving is perfectly aligned. Once you have the engraving in your

desired orientation take the jam nut and unscrew it until it's snug with the bottom of the shift knob,

using your wrench while holding the shift knob you want to tighten the jam nut to the bottom

of the shift knob. This will lock the knob and jam nut together to hold the shift knob in place.

11 \ BOOT CRACK ELIMINATION

Once your shift knob is aligned and locked to the jam nut you are going to take your shift

boot and fold it inside out and lift it over the shift knob and jam nut but do not completely

remove it. With the shift boot opening now aligned with the jam nut, use

your zip tie to attach the shift boot to the jam nut. Trim the zip tie using side cutter snips.

12 \ SHIFT BOOT FINAL INSTALL

Now that your shift boot is attached to the adapter you can now fully install the shift boot back into your center console.
